AEROMAGNETIC COMPILATION

EDCON-PRJ has completed a compilation of the available public domain aeromagnetic data over most of New York State.

The surveys are of widely varying specifications, and some of the data set merges are evident due to line-spacing and elevation differences. The merged data were gridded at a spacing of 500 meters and mapped in UTM coordinates, zone 18.

The merged data set will allow easy correlation across survey boundaries. The composite map shows regional basement structures and features that may be useful in understanding larger scale controls on the distribution gas and oil fields.

• Total Magnetic Intensity contour map (IGRF Removed), scale 1:500,000,color on paper
• CD-ROM with digital grid of the Total Magnetic Intensity
