MAPPING AND INTERPRETATIONS

EDCON-PRJ's mapping includes standard contour maps, grey-scale plots, shaded relief mapping, color maps, and superpositions of any of these. All maps carry complete annotation and reference ticks in latitude and longitude, projected map units, or both. Additional reference information, such as townships and ranges, well locations, or any other information required by the user, may be digitized and displayed on the maps.

EDCON-PRJ has state-of-the-art interpretation tools and interpreters with experience in mining, petroleum exploration and environmental problems around the world. In addition to the companys speculative interpretation products, EDCON-PRJ offers custom interpretations using gravity, seismic, well log and geologic data in addition to aeromagnetics.  EDCON-PRJ's integrated geological/geophysical interpretations for the mining industry are essentially subsurface geologic maps.

Qualitative interpretation products include reduction to pole (including low-latitude reduction to pole), vertical and horizontal derivatives, bandpass filters, strike filters, Wiener (pseudo-depth slice) filters, analytic signal, apparent susceptibility mapping, and a variety of other map displays. Any of these may be terraced or have the positive or negative axes or gradient maxima mapped.

Quantitative interpretation includes 2D forward and inverse modeling for multiple bodies, Werner depth estimation, 3D multilayer forward and inverse models for gridded data, and EDCON-PRJ's STARMAG^SM neural network based residual depth estimation software developed jointly with Texaco and licensed exclusively to EDCON-PRJ.

Proprietary interpretations are accompanied by complete reports describing the methodology used and, guiding the user through the map products, and if appropriate making recommendations of areas for follow-up work.
